Event To Be Held This Saturday At The Company's Mexico, MO Factory
Zenith Aircraft is planning its 10th annual "Fly-In To Summer" Open Hangar Day and Builder Fly-In Gathering this Saturday, June 17. The event will be held at the Zenith Aircraft kit factory in Mexico, MO. As we enter the summer flying season, this will be a fun gathering of Zenith builders and flyers, and is an informal grassroots fly-in gathering open to all aviation enthusiasts.
Owners of completed Zenith aircraft are encouraged to fly-in for the morning and to show off their completed project to fellow builders. Please bring tie-downs for your aircraft if flying in. Zenith says it will provide tie-down space and help facilitate ground transportation, if possible.
The Zenith Aircraft factory will be open from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm for self-guided factory tours, demonstrations, and more. Hot lunch and refreshments will be available, and there will also be coffee available in the morning. See the planes, tour the kit aircraft factory, and meet with the Zenith staff.
The popular high wing Zenith CH 750 Cruzer light sport aircraft will be on display at the event. The Cruzer is the "on-airport" version of the popular Zenith STOL CH 750 "off-airport" light sport utility kit plane, famous for its roomy cabin with comfortable side-by-side seating and easy cabin access from both sides. While influenced by its well-known STOL predecessors (the STOL CH 701, STOL CH 750 and the four-seat STOL CH 801 sport utility aircraft), the CH 750 Cruzer is an all-new design optimized as an economical cross-country cruiser for typical (airport) operations. For low wing enthusiasts, the Zenith CH 650 will also be on display.
Unlike the annual fall Open Hangar Days with scheduled workshops and seminars, dinner banquet and more, the June event is very informal. The fall event will include a celebration of Zenith Aircraft Company's 25th anniversary on September 22 & 23, with two full days of activities this fall.
