Sporty’s Launches LearnToFlyHere.com

Also Offers Free Learn To Fly Kit

One of the preeminent providers of tools and instruction for all pilots, has introduced a resource aimed at attracting new flyers to the ranks. Sporty's new LearnToFlyHere.com is a one-stop resource for those interested in flying.

Developed by Sporty’s team of flight instructors, the new web site offers information to educate prospective pilots about the opportunities and thrills general aviation provides. The site also guides student pilots through the flight training process. The information and resources provided on the site will prove valuable whether the student is flying for recreation, business or pursuing aviation as a career.

At the site, a visitor can view a free flight training video showing how a typical first flight lesson is conducted as well as download information on choosing a flight school and flight instructor. For those ready to begin training, there is helpful information for purchasing supplies, finding a training facility close by and for help on choosing the right flight training curriculum. Student pilots will find the flight training tools section particularly helpful, featuring useful product buying guides, links to other internet resources and free FAA practice tests.

"The site is concise and honest. We hope to inform and encourage new pilots -- not overwhelm them. Because we train thousands of pilots a year, we know what prospective pilots need to get started," said Eric Radtke, President of Sporty’s Academy.

One section of LearnToFlyHere.com dispels the common myths about learning to fly. "The big three are 'too expensive,' 'takes too long' and 'too difficult'," says Radtke. "We take each of these and face them head on so prospective pilots understand the realities of what it takes to become a pilot."

A Learn to Fly Kit is also available free on request. This kit includes an exciting DVD that demonstrates the fun and utility of personal aviation and explains the fundamentals of flight. It's over two hours of actual flight instruction. The Learn to Fly Kit also includes a log book and Sporty’s well-recognized Cessna cockpit poster.

"Our goal is to help grow the pilot population, thereby ensuring a healthy future for general aviation," said Radtke. "It all begins with inspiration and encouragement, which can be found at LearnToFlyHere.com."
