Hummingbird (Helo) Sighted In Australia

Vertical Aviation Technologies, Inc., of Orlando, Florida, tells ANN that the first Hummingbird helicopter has been delivered to Australia. The container was unloaded at Cessnock Airport April 18th, and assembly has begun by a professional build center -- Australian Hummingbird dealer Hummingbird Helicopters Australiasia. This first helicopter will be a demonstration aircraft for sales throughout Australia.

The Hummingbird is currently the only four place helicopter available in kit form. It is also the only aircraft built from a kit that is based on a FAA certified design. The Hummingbird has a useful load of 950 lbs and standard range of 375 miles. An auxiliary fuel system adds another 150 miles making this helicopter ideal for the Australian outback. The price of the new helicopter is $170,000 complete and includes the engine and a 1000 hour warranty.
