Daher Showcases TBM 900 At EAA AirVenture

Deliveries Reach The 76 Aircraft Mark

Daher is showcasing two TBM 900s at this year’s EAA AirVenture: a 2014 model owned by Dr. Ian Fries’ (SN 1012); and a brand new 2015 model (SN 1075), the 76th TBM 900 delivered.

In addition, 40 owners of TBM 700s, TBM 850s and TBM 900s have scheduled to fly their aircraft to AirVenture with the assistance of the TBM Owners and Pilots Association (TBMOPA). This will be the largest gathering of a turbine aircraft type at the annual aviation gathering.

At an EAA AirVenture media briefing held today, Nicolas Chabbert – Nicolas Chabbert, the Senior Vice President of Daher’s Airplane Business Unit and President of the U.S. Socata North America subsidiary – noted the TBM 900 has become the fastest-selling family member during the TBM program’s 25-year history. "From 100 new orders logged in a year, we have now delivered 76 TBM 900s, of which 25 occurred to date in 2015,” said Chabbert. “It’s a higher figure than any of our direct competitors. This sales success shows our ability to meet the expectations of customers.”

He added that annual EAA AirVenture offers Daher a unique opportunity to meet past, current and future customers, and to provide more about the company’s service offerings – especially in the field of avionics upgrade.

During its participation at this year’s event in Oshkosh, Daher’s Airplane Business Unit will be highlighting its capabilities in full operational support and avionics modernization. This includes the expansion in avionics retrofit options for North America with the opening of an avionics shop at Daher’s new facility in Pompano Beach, Florida.
