DeltaHawk Provides Powerful Special Event Coverage From AirVenture 2019!

DeltaHawk Readies for Oshkosh 2019 and the Start Of Engine Production!

It’s the start of an incredible new era at DeltaHawk Engines.

We’ve reimagined powerful jet fuel engines for general aviation featuring an advanced direct-drive diesel piston design along with a custom thruster for more torque and power strokes.

All which make the horizon a whole lot closer than you think. The new DeltaHawk Engines push the boundaries of technology so far, so completely, they’ll make you forget about everything you thought you knew about GA engines.

The new design applies across the horsepower range, giving pilots better power and reliability for all applications.

SIMPLE DESIGN: Say Goodbye to Old, Legendary Technology

It’s the combination of light weight and high torque that make DeltaHawk Engines accelerate faster and achieve higher top speeds than old, legendary engine technology. Thanks to our simplified design and fewer working parts, the DeltaHawk Engine is lighter than those relics. You’ll be lighter and fly faster with less drag and achieve greater payload.

Our pilot-led engineering team built a comprehensive design that provides better performance and better dependability. That includes a smaller cowling and longer lasting, externally-mounted critical components. You’ll get safe, continuous flight from redundancies in the air, cooling and fuel systems, without reliance on the aircraft’s electrical system for operation. That delivers exceptional peace-of-mind you just can’t get from your grandpa’s engine.

Stop by DeltaHawk Engines' booth #166, 167, 177 & 178 to take a look at our new, innovative and reimagined engine.

Did-Ya-Know? Cool Facts About DeltaHawk!

  • SIMPLE DESIGN: DeltaHawk reimagined power for general aviation in a simple design. There’s no gear box. No valves and valve train. No complex electronics or myriads of sensors. And simple to maintain with externally-mounted pumps and other components make maintenance much easier.
  • PROVEN PERFORMANCE: DeltaHawk engines are both supercharged and turbocharged for extraordinary power. Unlike traditional engines with scorching hot EGTs which contribute the turbocharger failures and high maintenance costs, DeltaHawk engines deliver power at relatively cool temps.
  • LESS WEIGHT: Simple design means less parts. Less parts mean less weight. Now that’s simple. But there’s more to our weight-shedding advantages. No valves, no camshaft, no cam chains, no lifters, no pushrods, no balance shafts, no gear box.
  • LOW MAINTENANCE: Other than routine maintenance, such as oil and filter changes, there just isn’t that much upkeep needed on a DeltaHawk engine. If repairs are ever required, most engine assemblies are mounted externally on the engine, making accessibility simple.
  • FUEL EFFICIENCY: In a typical mission, DeltaHawk engines are 35-40% more efficient than AvGas engines – providing improved range, higher non-fuel payload and lower cost of ownership. The engine’s small, aerodynamic profile has a lot less drag, contributing to fuel efficient flight.
  • FUEL VERSATILITY: Since DeltaHawk engines burn universally available Jet Fuel, fuel availability becomes a non-issue. They run on Jet-A, Jet A-1, JP-5, JP-8, F-24, and other common Jet Fuels, plus diesel fuels in non-certified applications.
  • SAFETY & CERTIFICATION: The achievement of complete FAA Certification on DeltaHawk Engines is imminent. The company has accomplished testing and certification readiness activities including design and performance upgrades, qualification and endurance testing.
