Airborne Oshkosh Day 5 Redux: RV-15!!!, Sen. Inhofe Speaks, Rugged Skyleader 600

07.30.21: The KitFox LIVES, New NAFI Boss, Jet It HondaJet Fractional, ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital, Pelton Int'vw-Final

The few details surrounding the Van’s RV-15 took Oshkosh by storm and the interest level in the latest product from Van’s Aircraft is skyrocketing.

Mike Tomazin is showing off the Skyleader 600 at Oshkosh... a rugged LSA-type aircraft that ANN’s Jim Campbell REALLY liked...
The KitFox was one of the first really popular sport aircraft kit offerings... and thousands were built... now, the Kitfox continues to evolve and show up in greater numbers each and every year. Senator James Inhofe is one of aviation’s most ardent and effective supporters... name an aviation issue and he and his staff are ALL over it. As they have for many years, Senator Inhofe had a wide-ranging chat with ANN’s Jim Campbell about these efforts. The National Association of Flight Instructors announced their new board chair at AirVenture 2021: CFI and businesswoman Karen Kalishek. Jet It has an interesting program involving the offering of HondaJets via a carefully designed fractional ownership program that will even accommodate active pilots. ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital has been serving the world as a mobile medical center, via a DC-10, for many years... and is one of the few entities that shows that aviation has a big heart. Welcome back, in our final segment with Jack... we discuss the future... and how recent difficulties may impact the way that EAA, Oshkosh and aviation overall build a new future. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
