Gas Station Chain Opts for Bell's VIP Transporter
A chain of convenience stores has grabbed a second Bell 429 helicopter for their fleet, bolstering their ability to ferry personnel between all 18 states they operate in.
QuikTrip has seen increased success in recent years, swelling their footprint around the us to more than 1,400 locations. The 66-year old company started as a small Tulsa, Oklahoma grocer before beginning its long march through the gas station industry. Today, the Bell 429 remains their executive's favorite transport, allowing them to "efficiently attend to business needs while significantly reducing travel times." The firm's new VIP transporter joins more than 450 of the model in the global fleet, which has racked up more than 600,000 flight hours to date.
“Bell is thrilled that QuikTrip Corporation has chosen the Bell 429 platform to add to its existing corporate transport fleet that also includes a Bell 429 and Bell 407GXi. This acquisition will complement and support the company’s growing business needs,” said Lane Evans, managing director, North America. “The Bell 429 continues to be an ideal platform for corporate and VIP transportation around the world for its versatility, comfort, and reliability.”
“QuikTrip is excited to add the comfort, reliability and overall performance of another Bell to our fleet and we are looking forward to our continued strong and long-lasting relationship with the Bell team,” said Stuart Sullivan, VP/CFO, QuikTrip. The new bird will go on to help QuikTrip personnel make appearances at their stores, events, and charitable engagements in the course of normal business. A quick glance at their presswire shows that the company is pretty civic for a corporate bunch, like their recent grant of $3 million to a variety of charity groups in Phoenix, Arizona late last year. It’s always nice to be able to hand off a jumbo-sized check in person, and the Bell 429 will help them do that just a little more effectively.
