SKYCHARGE Can Charge Up To Four Electric Aircraft Simultaneously
The Pipistrel SKYCHARGE is the first EV charging station designed exclusively for electric powered aircraft. The company has developed two models of the SKYCHARGE. Both can charge up to four electric aircraft at the same time. The SKYCHARGE 40 will accommodate two aircraft at a 20 kW charge rates and one at a 40 kW charge rate. The SKYCHAGE 80 will accommodate four aircraft at 20 kW charge rates or two at 40 kW charge rates.
The SKYCHARGE features modular design to suit different requirements and physical locations. The system can be expanded by adding more modules, and it is low enough that an aircraft wing can pass overhead.
Other features include:
Indoor or outdoor installation, completely weatherproof
Extra-long, heavy-duty charging cables
Commercial grade retractable charging cable, retracts into weatherproof storage socket
Touchscreen LCD display to control all charging operations
LED indicator showing charge state. Visible from the aircraft when recharging
Zero maintenance requirements (except cleaning cooling filters, once per year)
Operates from mains electricity - multi voltage input
Operates from solar panel and battery system (optional)
Future proof design with Internet connectivity and full datalogging
Available open market, to all electric aircraft manufacturers
The Pipistrel SKYCHARGE is available in several configurations that can charge up to 4 aircraft simultaneously.
The SKYCHARGE is on display this week at AirVenture in the Pipistrel booth.
