New Airplanes Announced Near Learjet's 50th Anniversary
The first provider of fractional jet management services to offer access to the new Learjet 70 and Learjet 75 aircraft will be Bombardier affiliate Flexjet, the company announced Tuesday. Flexjet will be offering shares of Bombardier's newest aircraft, with deliveries scheduled for 2013. Technological innovations position the Learjet 70 and Learjet 75 as some of the fastest, most innovative and productive aircraft in the light jet category.
"On the eve of its 50-year anniversary, Learjet has created fresh business aircraft that live up to its legendary lineage and are truly best in class," said Fred Reid, President, Flexjet. "We are beyond proud to provide customers a chance to purchase new aircraft from this program and experience for themselves the next generation of private jet travel."
Designed to fly farther than any light aircraft ever built, the new Learjet 70 and Learjet 75 aircraft offer travelers higher cruise speeds, direct routing, additional city pairs and even more airport options. Inside the aircraft, enhanced cockpit technology provides greater efficiency for pilots, while passengers benefit from a seamless transition from their traditional desks to their new office in the sky. Highlights include a newly created workspace based on ergonomics and modern style, enhanced seat comfort and noise reduction measures.
The new Learjet aircraft added to Flexjet's fractional program will feature the company's new interior design updates, including honey-colored wood, light beige leather seats and accents of red throughout the cabin and galley. The addition of these new aircraft means Flexjet owners will continue to have access to some of the most technologically advanced aircraft available, and the youngest business jets in the industry.
