Hello, Is This Planet Earth?

We Have All Made The Mistake Of Calling A Wrong Telephone Number, But This One Is A Little Unusual

Have you ever dialed the phone, and when someone on the other end and answered, you started off an immediate conversation before realizing the person you’re talking to doesn’t have a clue who you are or why you’re speaking to them. This is commonly the result of dialing a wrong number. According to an AP report, when this phone call came in, the conversation started with, “Hello, is this the planet earth?”

The call was made by British astronaut, Tim Peake, and we guess you could call it a long-distance call. After all, he was calling from the International Space Station. It’s reported that Peake apologized for dialing the wrong number and later tweeted, “I'd like to apologize to the lady I just called by mistake saying 'Hello, is this planet Earth?' - not a prank call...just a wrong number!”

Peake plans to conduct experiments on how the human body reacts in space and, in a British twist on space exploration, it’s reported he’ll try out a new tea-making process geared toward zero gravity. We guess being in space is no reason to deny the British custom of the afternoon tea. However, it makes us wonder if they have a fresh supply of scones.
