Global Executive: Sport Pilot Will Benefit Industry

And, Yes, It'll Be Good For Global Aerospace, Too

Sport pilot/light-sport aircraft will favorably affect the aviation insurance business, said Global Aerospace Executive Vice President John D'Angelone, a keynote speaker at this week's 28th annual Aviation Insurance Association conference in Las Vegas (NV).

"We believe that the new FAA sport pilot certificate and light-sport aircraft options will have a significant positive impact on our business," he said during an outline on significant general aviation opportunities emerging in 2004 and beyond. Sport Pilot and Light Sport Aircraft were highlighted as important initiatives for the future of general aviation.

Falcon Insurance Agency of Kerrville (TX) announced in April that the EAA Aircraft Insurance Plan will be ready to serve both sport pilots and light-sport aircraft owners with hull and liability coverage when the rule goes into effect.
