Buzz Aldrin Files Lawsuits Against Family Members, Foundation Manager

Several Of The Astronaut's Organizations Also Listed As Defendants

Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin has filed lawsuits against his son, daughter and the former manager of the Buzz Aldrin family foundation.

In the suit filed June 7, Aldrin accuses his son Andrew, his daughter Janice and Christina Korp, the former foundation manager, of mishandling his finances and his trust, as well as slander, alleging that some of those named in the suits say Aldrin is suffering from Dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

Spaceflight Insider reports the suit claims that Andrew and Korp have taken control of the 88-year-old former astronaut's bank and credit card accounts, trust money, space memorabilia and artifacts which are valued in the millions of dollars, social media accounts and "all elements of the Buzz Aldrin brand."

The suit also claims that Andrew and Korp have been slandering Buzz Aldrin using the claims of medical issues "for the past number of years" both in public and to small groups. The suit says the defendants have "forbidden" the elder Aldrin from marrying and “deliberately have undermined, bullied and defamed” all of his personal romantic relationships.

There are several charges related to financial dealings.

Space insider has a lengthy description of the accusations and events that have led up to the filing of the suit. Those details are available at the FMI link below.
