And So It Begins... Ground Marshaller Struck By Aircraft At Sun 'n Fun

This is getting quite scary... For several years ANN has predicted various hazards based either on our observations, the problems our staff has seen, or on reports from our eagle-eyed readers. And for years, these predictions, made in order to warn people of what to watch for, have come to pass. That unfortunate little phenomenon has reoccurred. We received this FAA report this morning. One of the hazards we've spent a great deal of time worrying about has been ground operations... and even before the Fly-In started, a taxi accident, involving a ground marshaller has resulted "serious injuries."

Sun 'n Fun refused to comment on the matter, and the FAA has not yet gotten back to us. We'll update you as soon as more facts are available.
