Aero-TV: Remos Aircraft -- An Update for the Year Ahead

LSA Manufacturer Looks Forward to Better Times

In and amongst all the brightly appointed wings and rotors seen at the recently concluded 2011 US Sport Aviation Expo, the folks of Remos Aircraft were doing their best to make a case for their flock of LSAs. In 2011, they were focusing a lot of attention on their Remos GX, the successor to the previous G-3 variant.

The $127,900 (base price) GX boasts some significant improvements over its predecessor, including a new carbon fiber wing, new fuselage design, a number of enhanced safety features, extended luggage space, a standard ground-adjustable propeller, and night VFR Certification.

It is powered by a 100HP 4-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid/air cooled Rotax 912 UL-S. The company claims that the GX can handle two full size adults, bags, with full fuel and offer 6 hours endurance with a 480nm range.

Remos Aircraft is a leading manufacturer of Light Sport Aircraft, founded in 1994. Remos is an international aerospace manufacturing company with operations in Europe and North America. Their Remos GX aircraft is an all-composite, single engine, recreational aircraft certified by the FAA and EASA.

Manufactured in a state-of-the-art facility in Pasewalk, Germany, Remos aircraft are distributed and supported world-wide through a network of exclusive sales, maintenance and flight training programs.
