People want to stay connected, and that certainly includes those who are traveling on business jets. To meet this need, Gogo has rolled out a new 4G connectivity solution for the business aviation market.

Available at the beginning of 2017, the company says Gogo Biz 4G represents a significant increase in capability when compared to existing solutions. When President Barack Obama visited San Diego over last weekend, local aviation businesses were stuck on the ground due to the TFR that was imposed over parts of the city for two days. The list of businesses included flights schools, skydiving operations, and similar businesses that would normally do good business over a weekend. But with the TFR in place, business owners sat and pondered how much money they were losing. The National Air Traffic Controllers Association, known as NATCA, says there is a serious shortage of certified professional controllers. In a news conference held earlier this week in Washington, D.C., NATCA vice president Trish Gilbert said that the FAA has not met hiring goals for the past five years, and that the number of qualified controllers is at its lowest level in 27 years. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
