Upgraded: Sarah L. Riehm

Angel Flight-South Central Names New Executive Director

The Board of Directors of Angel Flight South Central have appointmented Sarah L. Riehm as their new Executive Director. "We were very pleased at the quality of the applications we received," said Kirk Bell. "It was a difficult decision, but we are confident that Ms. Riehm''s solid nonprofit and corporate management experience will take our organization to the next level. Her priority will be to increase the awareness and outreach of our organization throughout the region. Sarah begins work November 17 at our Addison office. "

Riehm started her corporate career working for the Avionics Division of Collins Radio, programming flight computers and training pilots in their use. She holds a Masters Degree in International Business from the University of Texas at Dallas, where she has taught courses in Business Communications, Management, and Finance. Her nonprofit management experience includes being the Executive Director of two regional arts organizations. For the past five years, she has also served as an Arts Commissioner for the City of Richardson.

Riehm and her husband, Chuck, have three children: Andrew, 21; Amanda, 17; and Jennie, 13. She is active as an Elder in her church and in that capacity has served many social agencies in the area. Her work as a nonprofit leader and writer have earned her a spot in Marquis''s Who''s Who of the World and also Cambridge''s Outstanding People of the 20th Century.
