Pilots Develop App To Track Airport Delays

AeroWatch Uses FAA Information To Track Issues

An app developed by a group of pilots is putting airport delay information right in the palm of your hand on your iOS device.

AeroWatch, which was just released by Post River Software, tracks airport delays and stoppages at all commercial airports in the US. Data is retrieved directly from the FAA servers. Airports are listed with red or green indications to let the user know if flights are being delayed at any given airport.

The data is sorted by region, so that users can narrow their search and not display every airport in the country.

The app is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This app is optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus.

Post River Software was formed in 2004 by a small group of computer engineers who are also pilots. In this age of abundant information, a gap was noticed between the amount of information made available by the government, and the amount of information actually available to the pilot.
