The NBAA has announced
new Maintenance Management Workshops, to be held March 11, 2004, in
West Palm Beach, FL, and August 25, 2004, in Seattle. Organized by
the NBAA Maintenance Committee, these Workshops will provide
aviation maintenance managers an opportunity to learn the latest
information on issues affecting the maintenance community. Topics
to be addressed include Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA) issues, environmental and aviation
regulations, personnel and asset management, aircraft reliability
and productivity measures.
"Maintenance managers will find this an opportunity to network
with industry peers and discuss experiences and practices that
create successful maintenance departments," said Eli Cotti, NBAA
director, technical operations and Maintenance Committee
liaison.
The new Maintenance
Management Workshops will replace the annual NBAA Maintenance
Management Conference traditionally held in the spring.
NBAA is holding these Workshops in conjunction with Business
Aviation Regional Forums on March 10 in West Palm Beach and August
26 in Seattle. NBAA Regional Forums essentially are one-day
versions of the Association's Annual Meeting & Convention,
featuring indoor exhibits, a static display of aircraft and a full
slate of informational seminars.
In addition, the West Palm Beach Workshop will be held in
conjunction with a one-day NBAA Professional Development Program
(PDP) Course titled "Financial Impact of Decisions." The Seattle
Workshop will be held in conjunction with an NBAA Regulatory Issues
Forum on August 27, sponsored by NBAA's Tax Committee.
An NBAA Maintenance Manual Workshop will be offered as a segment
of each Maintenance Management Workshop.
