Airborne 07.17.23: eAircraft Symposium, Comp Air 6.2, 'Flight to End Polio'

Representatives of more than forty of the world’s leading electric aircraft developers will contribute their expertise and insight to the 17th Annual Electric Aircraft Symposium (EAS). Hosted by the Vertical Flight Society (VFS), the event will be held in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on 22 and 23 July—the weekend prior to AirVenture 2023 -- where ANN’s crew is already hard at work at our onsite HQ building. NTSB Releases Preliminary Report on June 2023 Mooney Accident

NTSB Prelim: Piper PA-30

The Left Engine Decreased From 2,400 RPM To 1,000 RPM Briefly And Increased Back To 2,400 RPM

On June 8, 2023, about 1219 Mountain daylight time, a Piper PA-30, N7318Y, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Nephi, Utah. The pilot was not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The pilot reported that he departed Cedar City Regional Airport (CDC), Cedar City, Utah, to relocate the airplane to Skypark Airport (BTF), Bountiful, Utah, for an annual inspection.

Pegasus Airlines Acquires 36 A321neo Aircraft

Pegasus Airlines has signed an agreement with Airbus by which the airline will take delivery of 36 new A321neo narrow-body jets. The acquisition is consistent with the air-carrier’s aspirations to modernize its fleet, thereby saving fuel, reducing CO2-emissions, and upping profits. By dint of 2017, 2021, and 2022 amendments to an original 2012 aircraft order, Pegasus has secured a total of 150 new Airbus jets—of which 108 are A321neos.
