NORAD Daytime Air Defense Exercise Planned For National Capital

Falcon Virgo Is A Recurring Exercise In Support Of Operation NOBLE EAGLE

The North American Aerospace Defense Command will conduct air defense exercise Falcon Virgo Tuesday, Oct. 6, between 10 a.m. and noon (ET) in the Washington, D.C., area. The exercise includes a U.S. Coast Guard MH-65D helicopter and Civil Air Patrol Cessna 182T general aviation aircraft. Some portions of the exercise may involve flights at approximately 2,500 feet and may be visible from the ground. If weather prevents regularly scheduled flights, the exercise will commence the next day.

STC Was Made Possible With The Collaboration Of Intercontinental Jet Services Corp

Becker Avionics has been awarded a Part 23 STC for the installation of the AMU6500 Audio Panel. The STC covers the Piaggio P.180 Series aircraft (Avanti II and Avanti EVO). This STC was designed with simplicity and ease of installation in mind. The whole modification can be performed quickly and during a planned maintenance event. The obsolete Baker Electronics M1035/M1045 audio panels are removed from the instrument panel. By adding a new audio panel mounting bracket and a small harness adapter, the new AMU is installed.

NTSB Prelim: Beech 35

The Engine Lost All Power A Few Minutes After He Switched The Fuel Selector

On September 7, 2020, about 1247 central daylight time, a Beech G35 airplane, N4636D, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Canyon Lake, Texas. The pilot and one passenger were seriously injured. A second passenger received minor injuries. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The pilot reported to a Federal Aviation Administration Inspector that while enroute to the Canyon Lake Airport (34TS) the engine lost all power a few minutes after he switched the fuel selector to the left main fuel tank.

AD 2020-20-11 Was Prompted By The Detection Of Melt-Related Freckles In The Billet

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain General Electric Company (GE) GEnx-1B64/P2, -1B67/P2, -1B70/P2, -1B70C/P2, -1B70/75/P2, -1B74/75/P2, -1B76/P2, -1B76A/P2, and GEnx-2B67/P model turbofan engines. This AD was prompted by the detection of melt-related freckles in the billet, which may reduce the life limits of certain high-pressure turbine (HPT) rotor stage 2 disks and a certain stages 6-10 compressor rotor spool. This AD requires the removal of certain HPT rotor stage 2 disk and the removal of a certain stages 6-10 compressor rotor spool before reaching their new life limits. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition
