Maria Sastre Named President And COO Of Signature Flight Support

Has Overall Responsibility For Company's Network Of FBOs And Maintenance Centers

Maria Sastre has been named as the new President and Chief Operating Officer for Signature Flight Support Corporation, according to a BBA Aviation news release. In her new role, Sastre is responsible for the daily operations of Signature’s worldwide network of FBOs and maintenance centers.

Her focus as Signature’s Chief Operating Officer has been on the development of a world-class service and safety culture. Customer satisfaction ratings have increased significantly over the past 3 years. Under her leadership, Signature has also increased its footprint to 115 locations globally and invested significantly in updating facilities and infrastructure.
 
“I am proud of the entire global Signature Flight Support team," Sastre (pictured) said of her new role. "We have been able to achieve much in the last three years and I am committed to the continued growth and expansion of Signature’s global network. We will continue to invest in our facilities and our people to be the industry-leading FBO chain. Our customers come first and everything that we do is guided by the philosophy of delivering the best possible service experience in a safe and efficient manner.”

Prior to joining Signature in 2009, Sastre served with Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD where she held the positions of Vice President, International, Latin America, Caribbean and Asia and Vice President of Operations. Sastre also served as Vice President of Worldwide Customer Satisfaction and Vice President Latin America and Caribbean for United Airlines.

Sastre reports to S. Michael Scheeringa, President and CEO of BBA Aviation’s Flight Support division which includes Signature Flight Support Corporation and Aircraft Service International Group Inc. (ASIG).
