Sundance Helicopters One Of Area's Largest Helo Companies
American Eurocopter announced Friday
the delivery of an EC130 to Sundance Helicopters, one of Las
Vegas’s largest and most experienced helicopter companies.
This is the third EC130 in its fleet.
"The EC130 is a great addition to our business because the
aircraft features updated technology, a powerful engine and a wide,
comfortable cabin that our customers enjoy," said Jim Granquist,
General Manager at Sundance Helicopters. "I think the EC130
represents the coming trend in the heli-tourism industry and we
will continue to add these to our fleet."
Eurocopter says the EC130 was designed for the tourism industry,
with a spacious cabin that can accommodate up to seven passengers.
The helicopter is equipped with a Turbomeca ARRIEL 2B1 turbine
engine with a fast cruise speed of 130 knots, and it also features
the Fenestron tail rotor that provides an environmentally conscious
sound signature.
"We are in a high visibility marketplace and the EC130’s
lower noise output is appreciated by our customers and the local
community," said Granquist.
Utilizing their helicopter fleet that consists of AS350B2s and
EC130s, Sundance Helicopters offers several different flightseeing
packages and the company carries thousands of tourists, locals,
celebrities and film crews to the Grand Canyon every month.
Sundance Helicopters operates throughout the southwestern United
States including Nevada, Utah, Arizona and California.
