ALPA, NATCA And EAA Aspire To Inspire The Next Wave Of Aviation Employees

Students Can Get Basic Information From Aviation Works Website

By Tom Woodward

The Airline Pilots Association announced at AirVenture that they are collaborating with both the Experimental Aircraft Association and the National Air Traffic Controllers Association in an effort to attract the next generation of professional aviation workers.

As stated on their web site, “We are a collective group of aviation industry stakeholders who not only support, but are a critical part of this $1.5 trillion U.S. economic engine, and we are dedicated to promoting careers throughout our industry to ensure the availability of these unique careers for generations to come.”

Through their web page students who may have even a basic interest in aviation as a career can get detailed information on various positions within the industry which could only previously been accessed from several different sources. Careers such as Airline Pilot, Aircraft Dispatcher, Air traffic controller, Aviation Maintenance Technician and Flight Attendant are describe in detail including career outlook, responsibilities, and qualifications required to be a successful applicant.

Of course knowing that there is a need doesn’t mean you know how to achieve that goal but the Aviation4U website instructs you on how to go about preparing yourself for any position that interest you.

Once you know what you want to do and how to go about it the next logical question is how do you pay for it? This link on the Aviation4U site, directs visitors to information regarding scholarships and a list of additional resources.

ALPA and it’s Partners hope institute their program into public school systems
