Has Been A Partner With Boeing Since 1998
Spirit AeroSystems has successfully completed 5,000 Next-Generation 737 deliveries to Boeing. Spirit has been delivering Next-Generation 737s from Wichita since 1998. The company builds the 737 fuselage, engine struts and nacelles in Wichita and wing components in its Tulsa, OK facility.
"Spirit is extremely proud of our partnership with Boeing and the work we do together to build the world's best-selling airplane, the 737," said Larry Lawson, Spirit AeroSystems president & CEO. "This is a significant milestone for Spirit and we look forward to building on this partnership as we move to the next variant on the 737 the 737 MAX."
The 737 is Spirit's largest program. Spirit is currently delivering 42 737s per month to Boeing. It delivered the first Next-Generation 737 in 1998 and has delivered more than 8,000 737s in all, including the 737 Classic.

Spirit employs about 16,000 people worldwide designing and building complex aerostructures for the world's most recognizable airplanes. Spirit builds the forward section of every Boeing Commercial airplane in production today as well as wing and propulsion components.
