WingX To Users: Don't Download iOS 9

Also Introduces Pro7 Version 1 App For Android Devices

Hilton Software is warning WingX Pro 7 users not to download iOS nine just yet, as it may not be fully compatible with their flight planning software.

In an email sent to users, the company said that it has found a few issues with WingX Pro7 running on iOS 9 including the ability to download data, weather and others. The company says it plans to releasing an update within days.

The company has also released its first version of WingX Pro7 for Android devices. But they caution that it is a "Version 1", and there may be a few bugs to be worked out.

The company says the Android app has the same look and feel of the iOS version "that makes getting around quick and easy." It adds a moving map, Lockheed Martin Flight Services, A/FD info and a lot more.

The company cautions that WingX Pro7 for iOS is more mature.  "The good news is that our Java Engineering Team are working hard and we're planning on frequent update cycle so you should be seeing the features being added quickly. The pricing is consistent with WingX Pro7 for iOS - this allows pilots to use their WingX Pro7 subscription on their Android phone and iPad (or vice versa)," the email stated.

WingX Pro7 requires a $74.95 annual subscription or $199.95 three-year subscription. There is a 30-day Free Period option. The $74.99 Advanced IFR subscription that enables showing your aircraft on an approach chart is $74.99.

The Android app is available on the Google Play store.
