I'll Have My Cirrus In Silver, Please

Planemaker Adds A 'Sterling' Option

Cirrus Design announced Thursday at AOPA Expo 2006 that prospective buyers of its Cirrus SR22 GTS and Signature Edition planes now have a new option to consider... one that will truly make their planes stand out on the ramp.

The SR22 Sterling paint option is exactly what its name implies -- for the first time since its introduction, the Cirrus SR series is now available in a color other than white.

Aviation and automotive coatings manufacturer PPG worked with Cirrus to produce a beautiful, durable finish that was suitable for application to the plane's composite body.

“Cirrus is thrilled to offer this elegant and unique finish,” said Executive Vice-president of Sales and Marketing John M. Bingham, “the stunning appearance of our new Sterling aircraft is sure to deserve a second look, both in the sky and on the ground."

The Sterling paint option is available now.
