EASA Plans 'Vision Of The Future' Conference In November

Safety Conference On General Aviation Set For November 6-7 In Vienna, Austria

Since the last EASA Safety Conference on the topic of General Aviation which took place in Rome 4 years ago, EASA and the GA community have made a lot of progress in working towards lighter, simpler and better rules.

Now it is time to tackle the numerous challenges that rapidly approach us and create a vision for the future of GA: The GA Roadmap 2.0.

EASA is inviting stakeholders to participate and discuss with us on how that vision should look and on the many challenges and opportunities that the future has in store.

In the past years, EASA and the European GA community have relentlessly worked at making General Aviation regulation simpler, better, accessible and more straightforward. Many waypoints of this action plan - the EASA GA Roadmap - have been achieved but we need to keep moving and take a positive view of the future that comes with many challenges. We need to promote safety together, and we need to better cooperate at all levels in order to revitalize European GA and evolve and develop the sector to face the future in a positive spirit.

The panels that are currently being arranged range from EASA's achievements in GA via more affordable modern aircraft to sharing the airspace with others, innovation, electrical aviation and cost-sharing. One panel will be dedicated to this vision and, consequently, EASA's new GA Roadmap 2.0.
