David Pasahow Resigns
As noted in previous ANN Coverage, the tumult within the EAA is
apparently continuing. Long-time board member, David Pasahow,
originally tasked with directing the search for EAA President Tom
Poberezny's successor, tendered his resignation over the
Thanksgiving holiday.
Pasahow's resignation follows
the resignation of high-profile Board member and aviation
entrepreneur Vern Raburn several weeks ago and may not
be the last one we hear of. Pasahow is a very highly regarded
executive search expert with Blue Line Advisors. Pasahow formed
Blue Line Advisors in January 2004 to provide executive search and
leadership services to the aerospace, transportation and other
selected sectors, and had been a member of the EAA Board for well
over two decades.
Pasahow's reasons reportedly mirror many of those expressed in
Raburn's detailed resignation letter from last October. While
Pasahow was reported to have noted that his resignation was not
"based solely on the extremely unpleasant and unprofessional events
of the past few months," he did blame, "several factors which I
feel makes it impossible for me to continue..." Pasahow further
noted that he "had lost respect" for the organization as a result
of the manner with which it had conducted itself since
last Summer.
The ultimate effect of Pasahow's resignation remains unclear in
that EAA has signaled that there will be no substantive changes in
its overall modus operandi despite the events of the last few
months. With the resignation of two of the Board's most vocal
members, the remaining board may ultimately be less willing to
offer any alternatives or counter-proposals to Poberezny's
leadership.
