Jeppesen To Provide Danish Air Transport With EFB Services

FliteDeck Pro To Help Streamline The Use Of Airline Navigational Information

Jeppesen recently agreed to a three-year charting and electronic flight bag (EFB) service contract with Danish Air Transport, a leading regional commercial carrier based in Denmark.  Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro for Windows and iOS platforms will provide Danish Air Transport with optimized access to essential flight and navigational data.

Danish Air Transport will integrate Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro Windows-based EFB services for installed avionics, while mobile access to supplemental pilot information will be provided through Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro on iPad.  Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro will help reduce use of paper-based flight information materials for Danish Air Transport, to increase situational awareness in the flight deck and reduce fuel consumption based on weight reduction.

“Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro EFB services will help to reduce overall pilot workload and continue our transition to a paperless operating environment,” said Jesper Rungholm, president and CEO, Danish Air Transport. “Integrating both installed and mobile Jeppesen EFB solutions allows us to fly with the top navigation and supplemental data available in the industry, delivered in a pilot-centered format.”

Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro flight information for installed avionics and mobile platforms, including worldwide navigation charts, is delivered to Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro through the Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) solution for the airline.  This Web-based system ensures timely and accurate delivery of current navigational and operational information to the airline through a secure network.  The full range of available portable, secured, and installed EFB configurations are all centrally managed by JDM Pro for the airline.

“Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro will help Danish Air Transport streamline operations and reduce costs, in an increasingly competitive commercial aviation marketplace,” said Tim Huegel, director, Jeppesen Aviation Portfolio Management.  “Providing data continuity fleet-wide, across multiple EFB delivery platforms will help to maximize operational efficiency as Danish Air Transport continues its transition to a fully digital data environment.”
