Classes Conducted At San Antonio, TX Facility
Sino Swearingen Aircraft Corporation announced Monday it has
received FAA approval for its 14 CFR Part 141 Pilot School
Certificate.
"We are very proud of the work that our training department has
done to get this accomplished," said Dr. Ching-Chiang Kuo, Chairman
and CEO of SSAC. "While we have been training pilots in our
FAA-approved 14 CFR Part 61 syllabus, the approval of the 141
school enables us to train the pilots in a more structured manner
and demonstrates our commitment to a world class training
organization. This will ensure that all of our customers receive
the best training possible, and not only help to make the SJ30 and
its crews the best performing in this class, but also the
safest."
Representatives with SSAC tell ANN the planemaker has made pilot
training part of its core focus by offering factory flight training
at its San Antonio, TX location. The company says this approach
provides better and timelier access to Engineering, Production and
Customer Support personnel with the hands-on knowledge to keep the
training curriculum up-to-date, practical, and accurate.
"We’ve been working on this project for a long time," said
Edward Gagnon, Vice President of Customer Support. "I extend my
appreciation to our team for the excellent work they’ve done
in developing the training curriculum and the pilot training
manual. They also have to be commended for their professional
delivery of the course. In addition, I want to acknowledge the FAA
for its support, cooperation and dedication over the course of this
project."
The planemaker intends for both its initial and recurrent pilot
training classes to be continuously provided. Classes are now being
scheduled for the summer of 2007.
