RAAS Service Bulletins Available For Citations

Cessna Will Perform Installation

Cessna has released the final Service Bulletins for the new Runway Awareness and Advisory System (RAAS). Cessna's Citation Service Center network will perform the RAAS installation and associated certification for all Citation Bravos (model 550), Citation Encores (model 560), Citation Excels (model 560XL), and Citation Xs (model 750). Cessna is among the industry's first to offer customers this important new safety system.

The RAAS service bulletin provides improved situational awareness to help lower the probability of runway incursions by providing timely aural advisories to the flight crew during taxi, takeoff, final approach, landing and rollout. Using GPS data, RAAS issues advisories based on aircraft position when compared to airport locations stored in the Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) runway database. RAAS is a PCMCIA card that activates additional features in the existing Mark V and VII EGPWS computer 219-219 software.

The Cessna RAAS Service Bulletin features factory engineering designed to integrate seamlessly with each Citation's system. It offers unmatched post-installation documentation and support. Cessna's worldwide Citation Service Center network is ready to provide post-installation RAAS service at both Cessna owned and authorized centers and parts availability through Citation Parts Distribution, the largest supplier of Citation OEM certified parts in the world.
