Airline Cleaner Accused Of Stealing Items From Aircraft

Haul Included iPads, Laptops, And Lots Of Little Booze Bottles

A 48-year-old employee of Atlanta-based Air Serve, which offers cleaning, ground transportation, and other services to airlines on contract, has been accused of stealing items totalling over $15,000 over the past three years.

Juanette Cullum, who lives in Brooklyn and worked for Air Serve at New York's JFK Airport, according to a report from CNN, has been accused of stealing multiple iPad and Kindle devices, two laptop computers, and 1,429 bottles of liquor from the airliners she had been assigned to clean.

A security staffer for American Airlines reportedly tipped off local police, who searched Cullum's apartment and found the stolen items. Police said that she made statements that alluded to the thefts.

Air Serve terminated Cullum following the search. She has been charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
