Chinese-American Artist Launches Private Airline For Artists

Angelhaha Targeted At The Artistic Community

Beginning August 6, a new private airline will begin flying artists to art events around the world, thanks to the entrepreneurship of a Chinese-American artist.

The airline is called Angelhaha. The inaugural flight will be from New York to Miami for the Art Basel event. The "airline" will use a small private jet seating nine passengers, according to a report from the U.K. newspaper The Guardian.

The airline is the brainchild of artist Qinmin Liu. Currently, there are still four seats available on the December 6 flight priced between $2,700 and $3,500 ... one way.

Liu has plans for a larger aircraft that will fly to events in New York, Hong Kong, Venice, Berlin and Paris, again one-way. She says that ticket prices will range from $300 to $3,000 depending on the itinerary.

Liu insists that the project is real and the flights will take place. She has taken on the role of CEO, airline representative, and chief flight attendant.

Part of the experience is Liu herself. “Service is performance. Environment is choreographed. I am going to use airplane, time, and this contained space to offer all my passengers a choreographed experience,” she says. “Everything you will receive is happiness and it’s a piece of me. Happiness is ahead of you.”

The slogan for the airline is "Fly with Angelhaha, Fly With Happiness.
