Million Air Breaks Ground On TUS Facility

Will Be Company's First Facility In Arizona

Million Air broke ground Wednesday on its first executive airplane terminal in Arizona, at Tucson International Airport (TUS.)

Ash Vij, president of Premier Aviation, and Rita Vij, vice president of Premier Aviation, own the Million Air Tucson facility.

"Franchisees are chosen for the ability to embrace the Million Air culture and to deliver the high level of service our customers are accustomed to from a Million Air location" said Sandy Nelson, chief brand officer of Million Air. "Ash Vij embraces those standards and will be a wonderful representative of our brand."

"Million Air Tucson will be our first terminal in Arizona," said Roger Woolsey, president and chief executive officer of Million Air. "Tucson is also an ideal refueling location for private jets flying east to west."

Seaver Franks Architects conceptualized the design, and Lang Wyatt will handle construction of the nearly $5 million project.

The two-story executive terminal will consist of 20,000 square feet of Class A, all-glass office space and will feature luxury amenities for guests, including refreshment bar and state-of-the-art theater room. The development will also include an additional 20,000 square feet of hangar space to accommodate aircraft as large as a Gulfstream 550.

The facility will be located in the Campbell/Valencia General Aviation Complex, and is scheduled for completion in May 2008.
