Diamond Aircraft Builds Its D-Jet Sales Staff

JC Lamy Named Sales And Marketing Director For Single-Engine Jet

Aero-News learned Monday Diamond Aircraft has appointed Jean-Christophe (JC) Lamy as Director, D-Jet Marketing and Sales. Lamy (right) will be responsible for the ongoing development of the marketing and sales strategy for Diamond's new single-engine, personal jet aircraft.

"JC's extensive background in the aerospace industry as a production test pilot and journalist, as well as his considerable business and marketing experience will be a valuable asset to our company and our customers," said Peter Maurer, President of Diamond Aircraft Industries.

Lamy has accumulated an impressive logbook... with time in several aircraft types including the Global Express, Challenger 300, Gulfstream 450, Embraer Legacy 600 and E175, Cessna CJ3 and Caravan, Dash-8, ATR 42 and 72, Piaggio P180, Pilatus PC12, TBM 700 and 850, and Piper Meridian. In 2005 he was nominated for the AJOYA (Aerospace Journalist Of the Year Award).

Prior to joining Diamond, JC was an instructor for Air Canada on the Embraer 175/190, and was International Director at Strategic Marketing International -- where he managed client projects in Canada, France, UK and Germany.

Lamy holds an Airline Transport Pilot License and an MBA.

"The D-Jet is the ultimate private aircraft," he said. "With simplicity of operation, safety, comfort and affordability, along with turbine power, the D-Jet is the next obvious step for twin and turboprop pilots."

The five-place D-Jet is powered by a single FADEC-controlled Williams FJ33 turbine, and equipped with Garmin all-glass flight deck and autopilot. The personal jet is  scheduled for certification in 2008.
