Adam Aircraft Announces Rob Penrod As VP Of Manufacturing

Will Lead Transition To Full-Rate Production On A500 and A700

On Monday, Adam Aircraft announced the appointment of Rob Penrod as Vice President of Manufacturing. Penrod joins Adam Aircraft from Bell Helicopter.

"Rob is an important addition to the Adam Aircraft team," said company CEO Rick Adam. "As Vice President of Manufacturing, Rob will spearhead our quest to achieve optimized production rates for the A500 and A700 aircraft as quickly and efficiently as possible."

As Director of Operations at Bell, Penrod led a business unit with more than 400 employees, and annual sales of $600 Million. Most significantly, Penrod also led Bell's efforts to transition the tiltrotor V-22 Osprey from developmental stages into full-rate production.

Prior to joining Bell Helicopter, Penrod spent 19 years with the Aerostructures Corporation of Nashville, TN. Adam Aircraft representatives tell ANN Penrod has more than 27 years of aerospace experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, program management, marketing, inventory management, and lean methodologies.

Adam Aircraft also reports Penrod brings extensive experience with composite technologies to the company -- which will help as Adam Aircraft ramps up production on its A500 inline piston-twin, and continues development of the A700 AdamJet VLJ.

"The simplicity, intuitiveness, and commonality of the Adam A500 and A700 make these new aircraft a pleasure to build, and easy for both individuals and fleet customers to service and maintain," said Penrod. "I look forward to supporting Craig Johnson and the team as we expand our manufacturing capacity at our facilities in Colorado and Utah."

With over 550 employees, Adam Aircraft's headquarters are on Centennial Airport (APA) in Englewood, CO with additional facilities in Pueblo, CO and Ogden, UT.
