Both Terms Will End In October, 2015

Deborah A. P. Hersman (pictured) was officially sworn in last week for a third two-year term as NTSB Chairman. Serving as Chairman since 2009, Hersman was nominated for a third term by President Barack Obama on August 1, 2013, and confirmed by the U.S. Senate on October 16.

"It is an honor to continue serving as Chairman of the NTSB," Hersman said. I look forward to continuing to work with my fellow board members and the staff to make transportation safer for the traveling public."
