Aero-TV: Managing An Aero-Revolution – Redbird Boss, Jerry Gregoire

Real Progress Is Being Made Via Today's Flight Simulation Technologies

While at the Redbird migration 2014, ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell, talks with Jerry Gregoire, the owner of Redbird Simulations.

In this video, you get to tune in on a conversation between Campbell and Gregoire as they talk about the progress of flight simulation and the flight training industry in general.

Gregoire starts off by saying that the Redbird Migration is increasing each year and providing valuable feedback about their services and products. Gregoire says the feedback provides positive input for their product development.

Gregoire provides interesting insights into the flight training business. He points out that the pilot shortage has not translated into pilot pay increases making it difficult for schools to justify the cost of learning to fly for the purpose of becoming a professional pilot. He refers to the need of a sustained marketing program for flight schools to bring in new students and turn out new pilots.

The video also addresses the RedHawk training plane created by Redbird to provide an airplane tailored for student training. The RedHawk is a refurbished Cessna Skyhawk with a diesel engine. This video provides a wealth of information regarding flight simulation, flight training, and the future of the training industry.
