FAA Approves Pan Am International Flight To Conduct ATP-CTP Training On 737NG

Training Previously Approved For A320

The FAA has approved Pan Am International Flight Academy to conduct Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training (ATP-CTP) on the B-737NG.

The company was approved in early August to conduct ATP-CTP training on the Airbus A320. This additional FAA approval makes Pan Am the only aviation training organization authorized to provide training on both platforms.

The 6-day approved ATP-CTP program consists of 30 hours of academic training including: Aerodynamics, Meteorology, Air Carrier Operations, Leadership, CRM and Safety—and includes 10 hours of training and demonstration (4 hours fixed-base, 6 hours full flight) in either the A320 or B737 level D simulator respectively.

As the original training division of former Pan American World Airways, the company is one of the largest and most experienced educational aviation training organizations in the world, with several U.S., Europe and Asia locations and 60 full-motion flight simulators— and over 200 training courses for pilots, flight engineers, air traffic controllers, dispatchers, and flight attendants.
