ADIZ? CBS? The Waking Nightmare That Is The C150?
Okay, enough with those
cheery holiday sentiments and rosy predictions that 2006 will
be the bestest year EVER. Deep down, we know you're
afraid... and the Aero-News staff would like to know what YOU most
fear the upcoming year will bring to the world of aviation, by
telling us in our Aero-Survey located at the bottom-right corner of
our Top News page.
Are you most afraid that tumorous, ever-expanding ADIZs will
choke the very air we fly in... and breathe? Or does the idea of
user fees ranging from landing charges, to fuel taxes, to pay
toilets at all FBOs (er, scratch that... we don't want to give them
any ideas) make you cringe in horror?
Do you awaken at night in a cold sweat, for fear that CBS and
its unholy brethren will continue their quest to slay the dreaded
beast of general aviation? (Through an intricately clever plot
involving Andy Rooney's repeated attempts to infiltrate your local
airport, combined with never-ending coverage of today's latest
landing-gear-related emergency.)
Or (and as of this
writing, this is the most feared scenario by nearly 2 to 1) do you
most fear that right now, someone... somewhere... somehow... is
aiming a Cessna 150 right at YOU and the ones you love?
It's OK... it's gonna be, OK.
Take a moment and tell us what you fear. It will make you feel
better, and you'll then have the chance to see what your fellow
readers fear the most, too. Remember: there's strength in numbers,
and the only thing we have to fear is fear itself.
