During The Forced Landing The Airplane Impacted Terrain Before Coming To Rest Upright

On August 9, 2021, about 1800 central daylight time, a Pulsar Sport 150 airplane, N997EM, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Osceola, Wisconsin. The pilot received serious injuries. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight.

The initial report indicate that the pilot was in the traffic pattern at the L O Simenstad Municipal Airport (OEO), Osceola, Wisconsin, when the airplane’s engine lost power. The pilot selected a field, located about a quarter mile south of the airport, for the forced landing. During the forced landing the airplane impacted terrain before coming to rest upright. The airplane sustained substantial damage to the fuselage, and both wings separated from the airframe during the accident.

The airplane wreckage was retained for further examination.
