Source: Jacksonville, FL, Mayor John Peyton, quoted by the Associated Press, pulling his city out of the running to base the naval air contingent now stationed at NAS Oceana in Virginia. Although Peyton had earlier pledged $50 million to return military operations to Cecil Field, he cited growing opposition in the community as his reason to just say no.
