Flight School Of Greenville Opens

Offering Training From 'Pinch Hitter' Through CFI

Pilot demand has been in the news a lot lately after Boeing released its' 2014 Pilot and Technician Outlook, a report that predicts that North America will need another 88,000 pilots between now and 2033. A new flight school at Greenville Downtown Airport in South Carolina aims to help fill some of those slots.

"Explaining what makes an airplane fly, what the flight controls do and going over a pre-flight inspection, while your new student eagerly awaits their chance behind the controls, is a wonderful experience that continues on to the day of their first solo flight, when they shut off the airplane, open the door, wearing a huge smile and say, 'That was awesome!' " stated Cyndy Hollman, Chief Flight Instructor and Owner of the Flight School of Greenville which opened late this fall at the Greenville Downtown Airport in South Carolina.

In one of two 1999 Cessna 172's with an Auto Pilot and a GPS; or in a High Performance Complex 6 seat Piper Lance aircraft, Flight School of Greenville can train Private, Instrument Rated, Commercial and Certified Flight Instructor pilots.  They specialize in accelerated, proficiency, pinch hitter and ground school courses; they also perform flight reviews and have a pilot shop that sells supplies and aviation themed gifts.

"Flight School of Greenville is a top notch flight school!  I was pleasantly surprised by the newer airplanes that they had compared to the other flight schools in the area.  The instructors are professional, friendly, and have tons of experience.  I would recommend them to anyone thinking about getting into aviation," stated Anthony Walls, a local pilot trainee.
