MVP! The Most Versatile Plane Helps ANN Provide VERY Versatile OSH15 Coverage!

More Than Versatile, The MVP Is An Exquisite Example Of What The Future Of Sport Aviation Can Look Like!

MVP.aero was created to bring to market a new “feature-packed” class of aircraft that would earn the title of the world’s Most Versatile Planes!

This new class of feature-packed all-season airplanes can operate comfortably from smooth to rougher strips, water, and even from snow and ice. The MVP will be the ideal sport plane for people who love the outdoors and want to “get out there” and enjoy it.
MVP aircraft will also be designed to be safe, reliable, and as simple to fly and maintain as possible. With an eye towards toughness, the MVP will absorb rougher treatment found on your adventure.
While these attributes are exciting, the MVP’s most significant and game-changing quality is that it will do more than simply fly from one place to another. It will also support and play an active role in many outdoor activities including camping, fishing, hunting, exploring, relaxing and more.

Did You Know? (Cool Facts About MVP.aero!)

  • Co-Founder & Design Guru Mike Van Staagen’s prior project was the Cirrus Vision Jet – from blank CAD screen to Prototype build.
  • One of the initial carbon fiber rib designs for the aircraft tail weighed 1.9 ozs and survived a 600lb pressure test. It was deemed “too strong and too heavy” by the stress test team.
  • The first illustration of the MVP’s opening canopy was drawn in SketchUp by Mike Lynds from brainstorm sessions with Darrell Lynds and shared with Steve to get his reaction in 2010.
  • The MVP has been modelled to achieve a less than 5 degree tilt when pilot and passenger stand at any point on the aircraft.
  • Co-Founder Darrell Lynds built a kit seaplane, with the help of his son & Co-Founder Mike Lynds and then flew the Mississippi from Winnipeg, Canada all the way to the Gulf of Mexico. Many of the MVP’s preliminary design concepts spawned from this trip.
