Airborne-Flight Training 06.02.22: Virtual-Fly, K-State UAS, Phoenix East

Earlier this year, Virtual Fly North America showcased its offerings at Sun n Fun 2022, where they sought to provide a full-service experience to flight schools and training centers with flight simulators that were realistic replicas of popular training aircraft.

Virtual Fly recently delivered and installed four simulators at the J.A. Flight Training center in Aurora, Illinois. Kansas State University in Salina, Kansas has been chosen to host the live portion of First Responder Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Triple Challenge competition on 2 June 2023. The Capital Consulting Corporation in conjunction with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) are the main partners of the challenge which will award over $680,000 in prizes. Phoenix East Aviation (PEA), a flight training center based at Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) in Florida, on its 50th birthday, has announced a partnership with United’s Aviate program to supply pilots to the commercial airline carrier. United Aviate’s career pathways offer pilots at all stages of their journey the most direct path to flying for United. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
