FDC 5/8158 ZHU PART 1 OF 2 FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS MISSISSIPPI COASTLINE. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. PURSUANT TO 14 CFR SECTION 91.137(A)(2), TEMPORARY FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS ARE IN EFFECT WITHIN AN AREA BOUNDED BY: 310630N/0894246W THE EATON /LBY/ VORTAC 221 DEGREE RADIAL AT 26.7 NAUTICAL MILES TO 310711N/0882548W THE GREEN COUNTY /GCV/ VORTAC 061 DEGREE RADIAL AT 3.1 NAUTICAL MILES TO 301831N/0882421W OR THE SEMMES /SJI/ VORTAC 181 DEGREE RADIAL AT 25 NAUTICAL MILES TO 301219N/0893422W OR THE PICAYUNE /PCU/ VOR/DME 154 DEGREE RADIAL AT 22.8 NAUTICAL MILES BACK TO ORIGINAL POINT AT AND BELOW 5000 FEET MSL TO PROVIDE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR HURRICANE DISASTER RELIEF AND SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATIONS. RESTRICTIONS DO NOT APPLY TO LIFEGAURD, LAW ENFORCEMENT, AEROMEDICAL, AIRCRAFT IN DIRECT SUPPORT OF FEMA HURRICANE RELIEF EFFORTS, DOD AIRCRAFT IN SUPPORT OF JOINT TASK FORCE KATRINA WHICH HAVE CONTACTED THE ATO CELL AT 850-283-5864/5840 OR 5841 FOR INCLUSION ON THE JOINT TASK FORCE KATRINA AIR TASKING ORDER, AUTHORIZED BY ATC OR AIRCRAFT ON AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN. FOR FLIGHT SAFETY, ALL NON-PARTICIPATING AIRCRAFT MUST REMAIN AT LEAST 500 FEET ABOVE OR 1500 FEET LATERALLY FROM ALL DISASTER RELIEF AIRCRAFT AND AT LEAST 500 FEET ABOVE GROUND LEVEL EXCEPT FOR TAKEOFF AND LANDING UNLESS AUTHORIZED BY ATC. GULFPORT END PART 1 OF 2

AND MOBILE APPROACH/TOWERS ARE FULLY OPERATIONAL; THEREFORE ALL AIRCRAFT MUST CONTACT THE APPROPRIATE ATC FACILITY AS OUTLINED IN THE NEW ORLEANS SECTIONAL AERONAUTICAL CHART.
