McIntyre Named to National Board of Directors of Canada's Aviation Hall of Fame

President Of Romeo Oscar Has 29-Year Aviation Background

The National board of directors of Canada's Aviation Hall of Fame, chaired by John Lawson, has appointed James McIntyre to the board.

McIntyre is president of aerospace marketing and advertising company, Romeo Oscar, of Montreal. His background in aviation dates to 1975, and his company's activities include providing public relations, advertising and marketing strategy services to clients in Canada and the USA.

Canada's Aviation Hall of Fame contributes to Canadian heritage by documenting, preserving and publicizing the names and deeds of men and women whose contributions to the advancement of Canadian aviation have been of superior benefit to the country.

The Hall is located in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, near Edmonton. It forms part of the Reynolds-Alberta aviation museum, whose aircraft collection is one of the most historically significant in Canada.

Nearly 200 men and women have been inducted into the Hall since its inception in 1973. These include inventor Alexander Graham Bell; WW1 Ace, Billy Bishop; airline entrepreneurs Grant McConachie and Max Ward; aeronautical engineer Elsie MacGill; aerial explorer/surveyor Punch Dickens, and all winners of the Victoria Cross whose merit was proven in aerial combat.
