Things went off as planned in Toulouse, France yesterday morning when the A320neo made its first flight. First reports after the flight indicated that the flight went as planned.
The “neo” which stands for “new engine option” represents the Airbus bet that a need for better fuel economy will be the force to drive orders for this variation of the single isle A320. Aspen avionics introduces the “try before you buy” concept. The FAA has approved Aspen's offer of a free 10-inflight-hour trial of its Evolution Synthetic Vision, referred as ESV. All new Aspen EFD1000 Pro PFD purchasers will receive the free ESV trial with their display. Garmin has completed the maiden flight of the Beechjet 400A featuring the G5000 Integrated Flight Deck.
