Separate Company Being Formed To Complete Jet Program

As part of an exclusive interview completed just a few hours ago, ANN has learned that Alan Klapmeier is ready to disclose that he is putting together a team to purchase the Cirrus Vision Jet program from Cirrus Aircraft and majority investor Arcapita. With the knowledge and apparent blessing of both entities, Cirrus Co-Founder Klapmeier is raising funds to complete the purchase and development of the single-engine Cirrus Vision jet.

Financial advisers, Merrill Lynch, have signed to provide the necessary financial horsepower to oversee the money side of the equation.

"The transition into this new company will be basically taking the jet program as it exists today, completing the financing, and moving forward so that we can get this airplane into production."

Klapmeier notes that he hopes to be in a position to deliver completed aircraft by the end of the 2012 or early 2013. A more extensive statement and the complete interview will be presented shortly.
