It’s been reported that Japan’s Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries have announced a possible delay in the Mitsubishi Regional Aircraft program. The delay is attributed to a review of the testing program. The program has already dragged on as the first flight took place on November 11 of this year, which was four years after the original target date set when the program was launched in 2008. Jessica Cox has overcome a lot. Born without arms due to a rare birth defect, she became the world's first armless licensed pilot, controlling her Ercoupe with only her feet. She can drive an unmodified car, put in and remove her contact lenses, is a certified SCUBA diver, and can type 25 words per minute. But on a recent visit to the Universal Studios, Orlando theme park, she found herself unable to ride most of the rides due to safety concerns... A video of pair of secret Mi-35MS helicopters was captured by a civilian near the Kremlin in Moscow and posted to YouTube. The aircraft are a variant of the Russian Mi-35M combat helicopter. The Russian news site Sputnik International reports that the aircraft's solid green color no insignia other than a Russian flag identify them as special-mission aircraft. The helos in the video also have a number of antennae on their fuselages, and specialized electronic equipment mounted on outboard structures. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
